Dwayne Bowe is an alright player, but he plays for the Chiefs and they’re pretty bad. So, why is he making waves in Kansas City during baseball season? Well, it appears he opened his mouth and now he’s opened a whole can of worms. None of this has been corroborated–but merely the implication makes you think–what if he’s telling the truth. Here’s Bowe talking about “importing”:
“You hear stories about groupies hanging out in hotel lobbies, but some of my teammates had it set up so there was a girl in every room. The older guys get on MySpace and Facebook a week before we go to a city; when a pretty one writes back, they arrange to fly her in three or four days in advance.”
Todd Haley followed up with:
“Dwayne and I did have a long conversation and from this point on, we’ll leave it that, that it was discussed, handled internally and we’re moving forward. We’re worried about making progress as a team as we go forward and that’s what’s really important to me now.”
Which is code for “I’m going to kick that mickie-fickie’s &%^$%&#*(%&!”
Let’s say Dwayne Bowe is telling the truth–why? As far I can tell–this isn’t illegal–unless the women in this alleged scheme are getting paid. I know that groupies as a concept are not illegal–so did he just feel like talking and this is what he chose to talk about?
I mean, you couldn’t talk about your macaroni and cheese recipe instead?
Also, will the Commissioner look into this? Oh you bet he will! I’m sure he can’t resist the urge to bust somebody AND he kind of has to because these allegations are pretty salacious.
If Dwayne Bowe doesn’t get his act together he might have found his way out of the NFL–through his big mouth.
