Great Move By The Philadelphia Eagles !

The Eagles instead of looking at the free agency, they started first signing their players. After giving WR DeSean Jackson the franchise tag, they signed him on a 5 year deal worth $48.5 million, a great deal for both the WR and the Eagles. This great contract extension takes out all the preoccupation and the nervous for all the fans, the team welcomes back the explosive receiver the team have.

Jackson did not have a great season in 2011 but he still caught  58 passes for 961 yards and 1 touchdown. The contract situation hung over his him all season, and he unhappy about it from the beginning of training camp. He  came to training camp late and even at the mid season he missed a special teams meeting which caused Andy Reid to bench him.

The Eagles also made a great move by giving a great contract extension to Eagles DT Trent Cole, they signed him for 4 years giving him $58 million. He is a great pass-rusher. Eagles defense was first on sacks this past season and Trent Cole had 44 tackles, 1 forced fumble and 11 sacks. The Eagles great couple, Cole and Babin, are a big menace for the opposing QBs.

Thats not all, Eagles gave Indianapolis OT Winston Justice and a 6th round pick receiving Colts 6th round pick. When you listen to this trade the first thing you might say, what have the Eagles done, it´s and awful trade, but after signing OT Todd Herremans, Justice was no longer needed in in Philadelphia and by trading him to the Colts, the Eagles get the opportunity to pick a little higher in the sixth round.
