Well, they signed on Ronnie Brown, and it seems that Jeremy Maclin is coming to camp soon. Now that the team has made so many offseason moves, there are guys who are willing to take less money to get the chance to play with the Eagles. Now, it’s not the kind of thing that will make the Eagles the best team in football, but it IS the kind of thing that will provide them with the right amount of depth to complete a run through the playoffs.
The Eagles went to the NFC title game so many times in a row, and the one time they went to the Super Bowl they just did not have the depth to make that final push for the win. Now, they could pick up even more talent that will help their depth chart. They aren’t going to be getting anymore major pieces, but every good roleplayer they get that wants to play with them makes their depth chart that much more impressive.
I feel like they will have a roster that literally has nobody on it whom we would say, “Huh?” If that’s the case, then they could just walk right through the NFC. Even with the Packers, Falcons, Saints, Bucs, Bears, and other teams out there, I really think that the Eagles are the prohibitive favorite to win the NFC at the very least.
Given the way the Patriots have loaded up I would say that the Patriots are going to be the favorites in the AFC. Now, we have a course that puts the Eagles and Patriots headed towards each other for a rematch of that Super Bowl from just a few years ago.
