The Eagles lost again. This time to the Bills. This is how this transpired:
I was working all day long. I didn’t get to catch the game, but when I went to dinner with the family, I turned to my Dad and said, “The Eagles lost again–to the Bills.” He said, “I know, son, and believe me, it was not pretty.”
So, I said, “Wait a minute, they actually got beat a lot worse than that?” He said, “They tried to come back, but the whole time they just looked pathetic. They stink, son. I don’t know what to tell you.”
And, there you have it. The Eagles stink. They look pathetic, and they can’t even beat the Bills. THE BILLS. Ryan Fitzpatrick and company can outduel Michael Vick and company. Wow.
Yes, Michael Vick had four interceptions, but he could not possibly have lost the game all by himself. He was 26 of 4o for over 300 yards and his passer rating was a dismal 66.1. So, he was bad, but there’s got to be something else going on.
It’s like the Eagles have a mental block that they can’t seem to get around. They have writer’s block, but it seems to be a “teamwork block.” Nothing they do happens to work.
Does this mean they are destined to suck all year? Probably. Are they making the playoffs? Probably not. Do I feel bad for them? No, not really.
There’s enough good storylines to go around this year, and we don’t have to have the Eagles look good to have a good season. However, I will caution Philly haters. At any moment, the Eagles could come out of nowhere. That’s something Michael Vick has done in the past and he can do it again. I’m not calling it–I’m just saying.
Be careful with these guys.
