Former Green Bay Packers defensive end Johnny Jolly was dismissed from the team because he was arrested and charged with having codeine in 2008. He has now entered into a plea agreement, which could make the whole charge go away if he stays clean.
Jolly will be on probation for a year and is expected to use this experience for the good. He’ll be speaking with kids about drugs and doing PSAs no doubt. In the meantime, will another team pick him up? Will the NFL let the substance abuse violation go if it comes off his record?
My guess is yes. But it won’t be this year and it won’t be with the Packers. They are done with him. I think he could end up on the Lions defense or even the Bucs.
