Top 10 Most Consistent Fantasy RBs Of 2018

Sometimes, fantasy point totals can deceive.

Case in point. David Johnson finished ninth in points among running backs this past season. That seems pretty good, right? Well, he was a top-10 fantasy back in just 56.3 percent of his 16 starts. What’s more, he scored 30 percent of his points in just four games. That’s a much bigger statistical factoid than his overall finish. So while he did put up respectable numbers overall, D.J.’s lack of consistent production might have cost you a shot at getting into the fantasy postseason.

Top 10 Most Consistent Fantasy QBs Of 2018

Sometimes, fantasy point totals can be deceiving.

Case in point. Aaron Rodgers finished sixth in points among quarterbacks this past season. That seems pretty good, right? Well, he was a top-10 fantasy quarterback in just 37.5 percent of his 16 starts. What’s more, he scored 40 percent of his points in just four games. That’s a much bigger statistical factoid than his overall finish. While he did put up a monster stat line in fantasy title week, Rodgers’ lack of consistent production might have cost you a shot at getting that far.

Antonio Brown Officially Asks Steelers To Trade Him

Antonio Brown has officially asked the Pittsburgh Steelers to trade him.

The news comes courtesy of ESPN’s Adam Schefter, who tweeted the following on Tuesday:

“Antonio Brown has not been traded nor has he been released. But Brown wants a trade and he officially has requested that from the Steelers, per source.”

Brown is widely regarded as the NFL’s best receiver. Last summer, he was voted by his peers as the second best player in the league in the NFL Network’s annual Top 100 list. Brown was No. 4 on the list the previous year. Since 2013, Brown leads the entire NFL in receptions, receiving yards and touchdowns.

The Important NFL Dates To Know

So, the 2018 NFL season ended with the increasingly familiar sight of the New England Patriots celebrating another Super Bowl win – a record-equalling sixth.

It means we are left with a long, lonely, seven football-less months until the 2019 season kicks off on September 5 and we get to do it all again.

In the meantime, there’s still plenty of important dates in the NFL offseason calendar for you to keep track of. This is where the hard work starts for the 31 franchises looking to ensure it is them – and not New England – who lift the Vince Lombardi trophy in Miami a year from now.

Top NFL Free Agents

The NFL’s offseason schedule is in full swing, beginning the countdown to free agency and the 2019 NFL Draft.

And the 2019 list of free agents available is a good one. Names like Jadeveon Clowney, DeMarcus Lawrence, Le’Veon Bell, Tyrell Williams, Landon Collins and Frank Clark will be available for signing as unrestricted free agents, assuming they’re not hit with a franchise tag.

There are more than 700 players slated for free agency according to Spotrac. These are the six who will have the biggest impact on the league this offseason and when the season begins.

First 2019 Power Rankings

Super Bowl LIII has barely ended, the New England Patriots are still on their duck tour, but ESPN has already closed the book on the 2018/19 season and is already looking forward to next year.

With that mindset, their reporters have put together their 2019 NFL Power Rankings that includes every team’s best reason for optimism ahead of the new season.

What do you think of the rankings? Do you agree or disagree?

Colts Pre-Season Game #2 Notes

Last night we finally had the opportunity to watch Andrew Luck and co. play against a quality team in a hostile environment when the Indianapolis Colts kicked off against the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday Night Football.  Despite losing 24-26 on a late Pittsburgh field goal, the new look Colts showed us many things to feel positive about.

So just like last week, here are the Studs, the Duds, and the Question Marks from this week’s game.
