What a sad, sad, story out of Denver tonite. Kenny McKinley of the Denver Broncos has been found dead. NBC News says it’s due to an apparent suicide.
McKinley was a fifth round pick in 2009. He was just 23 years old. Broncos head coach Josh McDaniels said, “This is a tragic loss for our football team, and his family is in all of our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.” USA Today says that “McKinley is the third Broncos player to die since 2007.”
Anytime you hear something so sad like this, you realize how silly and unimportant the rest of it all is. Even football, which we live for and love and look forward to each week, is not as important as life. Our thoughts go out to McKinley’s family. RIP.
