Is Michigan State JoePa’s last home game?

As another Penn State season comes to a close the inevitable question always comes up. Will this be Joe Paterno’s last season at State College?

I don’t think so. Paterno will be 84 on December  21st, and he looks the healthiest he has been in several years. I can see no medical issues that would cause Paterno to step down this off-season.

On the football field, everyone knew going into this season that the Nittany Lions in 2010 would be a very talented, but inexperienced, team. This is a team that will get better over the next two or three years and I expect JoePa to be on the sideline coaching this team.

This is a Penn State team that I believe can challenge for the national title in 2012 or 2013, and I am sure that Paterno would love another shot at a national title before he finally does retire.

Paterno has one season left on his current three-year deal at Penn State, and I expect that in 2011, Penn State will actually extend his contract for another two years to give Paterno one more shot at a national title.

Do you think that Paterno will return next season?
