Brandon Marshall’s Goal Is Weird

Miami Dolphins
Brandon Marshall’s goal is to get ejected in the second quarter of the Dolphins game against the Jets.  I don’t quite understand it, but I guess we can let Brandon explain:

“I’m not joking. I’m serious.  They’re going to fine me. It’s probably going to be like a $50,000 fine. But that quarter and a half that I’m out there, I’m going to play like a monster.

“I might get in a fight with Bart Scott. (Antonio) Cromartie, we pretty much matured our relationship and grew a little bit. We used to fight in Denver and San Diego. If that happens, it happens, so we’ll see.”

We all know that Marshall has had some struggles lately, but is this kind of a crazy thing really what we want to do? I know that the Dolphins need some kind of spark because they are really bad, but I don’t know if this is the kind of spark they need.  In fact, I know this is not the kind of spark they need.  They don’t need some kind of show from someone.  They need a show that results in a win.  They need to play better.

If professional football players cannot get fired up for a game or show passion for the sport, then there’s no reason to think that we would get a good game.  However, if that team can show up just once, that tells us that they have something left to give to the cause.  So, do the Dolphins have anything to give?

Well, they’re so bad, that they might be out of gas already.  However., we won’t know until we watch them continue to play.  Plus, the Jets are struggling, too.  So, we might see something really good during the game, but that’s only because both teams need it badly this time around.
