Boise and Stanford Spoiled Again

Stanford vs Washington
I think we can stop having the discussion about Boise State.  They were about to lose to TCU last night, we’re at a restaurant that has TV’s at the bar, and the TCU/Boise game is on.  I can see that Boise is about to lose, I turn to my Dad and say, “Boise is about to lose,” and he says, “Good.”

You know why?  Because he’s tired of the conversation too.  They’re obviously never going to be able to complete an undefeated when it counts.  They can play teams that are now really hot and win (see Georgia,) but they can’t beat a down TCU team when it really matters.  For now, I have to close the book on them or I might just lose my mind.  It isn’t worth talking about anymore.

For Stanford, they get thrown over again by Oregon.  I know that Oregon is a good team, but, again, Stanford allowed someone to get in their way when they’re basically no way that should have happened.  It’s disappointing, but Oregon was in the national title game last year, so, I suppose I understand.

That’s going to leave us with LSU and Oklahoma State at the top.  Now, all we have to do is wait and see if Oklahoma State can beat Oklahoma.  Now, if we get that and they and LSU can win their conference title games, this should be pretty easy to figure out.  I like it when teams are successful, but I’d rather it be easy so we don’t have to complain about the BCS again this year.

I don’t know about you, but Oklahoma State/LSU for the title would be cool.  (Remember, if you want the LSU/Bama rematch, then Okie State has to lose, and that would probably seal it, right?  You SEC folks can only hope.)
