Blue-White Game Rained Out

Heavy rains meant that today’s Blue-White Game was called just two plays into the third quarter.

Officially the Blue squad beat the White squad behind a 17-yard touchdown pass from quarterback Matt McGloin to wide receiver Brandon Moseby-Felder. Wide receiver Evan Lewis did double-duty, also handling the place-kicking duties, and rounded out the scoring with a 20-yard field goal.

McGloin completed five of 10 for 109 yards. After the game, quarterback Rob Bolden said he was not yet sure whether he would return for the 2011 season. Bolden originally planned to leave Penn State in January, but recanted and practiced with the Nittany Lions throughout the spring.

Coach Joe Paterno said he was “99 percent sure” either McGloin or Bolden would be the Nittany Lions’ starting quarterback to start the 2011 season.
